24 Pictures

These 24 pictures are all variations of the same line drawing – I recommend clicking them for the full size versions as they look a lot better that way!

      • Aha, perhaps you are right! I may be subconsciously doing something there, or else its to do with the digital aspect – I do enjoy the macabre side of life and art especially, so perhaps! Very interesting observation Ruth – when I met this person, I turned round in a queue, and she was right behind me, I thought “wow” I thought, “hmm, very pretty, didn’t know anyone this pretty was living nearby” She had dark hair and very peachy skin, very alive looking and young. Anyhow, a day or 2 later I was doing some sketching on the computer, and the marks I was making onscreen reminded me of her profile, so I was thinking perhaps an image like that kind of burns onto the retina? You know how yrs ago they used to think you could tell who a killer was as the image was still in the eye of the victim? One of those potty old ideas, but it does make some sense in my mind 🙂

      • I think I was reacting to the reverse image variations, and the more obvious representations of women who live in suppressive cultures, and – when taken in sequence – each having the same linear expression…..suddenly, I saw them as sarcophagi……am I the creepy one?!

  1. She did have a Nubian look going on, with the hair shape and just the way she looked – you know how when you look at someone, you don’t really see them, cos they are projecting something? She wasn’t, cos she was just standing in a queue, waiting, she didn’t seem aware of me having a quick look, in close up too, if I could, I’d freeze time like that more often, and have a good look at everyone! So yeah, she was just gazing into space, in a fairly sarcophagic way! 🙂
